Town of Springville

Chairman Theisen called the meeting of the Town Board to order at 6:20 pm. Chairperson Theisen and Supervisor 2 VanBeek were present. Treasurer Poehler and Supervisor #1 Poehler were excused.
Open Meeting Compliance. The meeting agenda was posted on the Town of Springville’s announcement board and the Town of Springville website.
Approve Agenda. Motion made by VanBeek to accept agenda. Second by Theisen. All were in favor. M/C, by voice vote.
Minutes.VanBeek made a motion, seconded by Theisen, to approve the June 24, 2024 minutes. All were in favor. M/C, by voice vote.
Financial Report. The financial report of income/expense budgetary was provided and reviewed by the Town Board for the date ending 06.30.2024. Ending balances: General Account $23,781.89; Road Account $95,289.53; and Contingency Account $137,292.36.
Public Comment:
Unfinished Business. Ty Telow – ATV Club about ATV/UTV use on Springville roads.
New Business:
a. Motion by Theisen to raise the Sheriff’s Department yearly rent to $750.00. Second by VanBeek. All were in favor. M/C, by voice vote.
b. Motion by VanBeek to grant Barrel Springs Bar & Grill their regular Combined Class “B” license. Second by Theisen. All were in favor. M/C, by voice vote.
c. Motion by VanBeek to grant Operator’s Licenses to Kenneth Brown and Pamela VanStelle from Dells Camping Resort. Second by Theisen. All were in favor. M/C by voice vote.
Town Department Reports:
Town Road Update: 11th Ave. is done
Fire District Update: We applied for theremaining ARPA funds from the County and were granted; all monies were allocated for the Training Tower.
Ambulance Update. Nothing to report
Planning and Zoning Update. Nothing out of the ordinary.
County Board Update. Nothing to report.
Disbursements.The motion was made by VanBeek, with a second by Theisen to to approve disbursements 1- 16 for July 2024. All were in favor. M/C, by voice vote.
Set the next meeting date. The next monthly meeting will be Monday, August 26, 2024, at 6:00 pm.
Adjournment.VanBeek made the motion, and Theisen made the second to adjourn. All were in favor. M/C, by voice vote. The meeting was adjourned.
